This paper summarizes the objective, several typical theories and ideotype models of rice breeding for super-high yield in China, and introduces the latest achievements in super-rice breeding.
Structural model could be used to quantitatively describe the canopy in detail, calculate the potential photosynthesis capacity of different cultivar canopies and evaluate the rice ideotype, etc.
